Heating Cables, Underfloor Heating

Heating Cables

Heating Cables WFS advanced heating cable systems have been manufactured for professional use, yet are easy to install at any skill level. Our 3mm cable systems provide supplementary heating for bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas. The ultra-low profile of our heating cables enables them to be installed in a matter of hours without raising floor levels. The heating elements are simply fixed to the sub floor and tiled straight over for a perfect heated finish every time.

Heating Mats, Underfloor Heating

Heating Mats

Heating Mats All WFS Mat systems utilise our insulated, twisted dual core heating element, protected by an armour braid and our advanced tough heat resistant fluoropolymer outer jacket. All WFS cables have a high IP rating of 67 which is suitable for use in wet areas and in conjunction with wet room systems. The heating element is attached to a 100% fully self-adhesive fibreglass mesh for rapid and superior installation without any need for priming on a clean dust free floor, ensuring zero lift in self-levelling compounds and peace of mind, no messing around with the peeling of double sided tapes. WFS heating mats come with only one power lead wire making it easy to install without raising the floor level. All WFS cables are manufactured in Sweden, world leaders in underfloor heating process and quality. WFS Cable manufacture complies and surpasses all UK and European standards and requirements.

Cast Aluminium Heated Parts, Machined Pedistal Heaters

Machined Pedistal Heaters

Machined Pedistal Heaters Our heated part concept can help simplify your complex heating problems. The heated part is much more than a heater … it is a functional component of equipment that can be designed in the exact shape and size needed. The heated part from CAS is available two ways: as a one-piece cast-in aluminium heater assembly, or as interference fit (IFC) design.

Cast Aluminium Heated Parts, Circulation heaters

Circulation heaters

Circulation heaters The circulation family of heaters are ideal solutions for demanding applications. These heaters consist of a helical coiled tube and tubular element cast into an aluminium body. The aluminium body serves as the heat transfer media between the tubular element and the coiled fluid or gas transfer tube. The unique construction of the heater allows it to be used where thermally sensitive materials such as paints and resins or flammable materials such as fuels and solvents are being heated.

Installation and Maintenance, Training Resources

Installation and Maintenance

Installation and Maintenance Installation 1) Heating tape should be installed on clean, dry pipe free from burrs, weld splatter or anyrough, sharp projections. 2) Heating tape may be straight traced or spiralled along the pipe. If straight traced, the heatingtape should be held in place with adhesive tape at 300mm intervals. For spiral tracing, fixingat 1m intervals is suitable. 3) Use the correct adhesive tape suitable for the temperature application. 4) A 30mA trip Residual Current Circuit Device (RCCB) or Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker(ELCB) is recommended for use with heating tapes. ( Type C) 5) If in doubt about electrical installation consult a qualified electrician. 6) Use the specified insulation and ensure that it is kept dry for maximum efficiency. 7) Fit caution labels on the outside of thermal insulation at approximately 3-meter intervals. 8) For PVC, ABS, Polythene and other ‘Plastic’ pipes use heating tape not exceeding 12 wattsper meter and having an earth screen covering. It is recommended that heating tape should have a 50mm wide adhesive aluminium foil under and over the cable. An RCC or ELCB unit must be used in conjunction with this type of installation. 9)It is recommended that all Heating tape should be installed in conjunction with athermostatic controller. 10) Heating cable should be terminated using a suitable termination kit. 11) The installtion should be periodically inspected to ensure correct performance.
